Changed the channel name to reflect new, updated life in Thailand
Just putting our fun adventures and my quest to get off the couch, sofa, chesterfield, whateva you call it out there.
I fell in love with the country and now have my retirement visa in order looking to stay here permanently, or at least as much as possible
I met an amazing lady, named Tik and her and I have been building a life together over here for the last five years
I’m also a musician I love to mess around in my studio as my hobby write songs for fun and add them to my videos

So this channel bounces around a lot ..I try to keep it interesting and film things that I want to preserve as memories.

Kidnapped a willing prisoner I believe Glen. We have been to this temple awhile back my memory it was off the beaten track.
Keep up the good work my friend and after looking at the comments a house will never lose value only gain value because you are building it out of cement so it will stand the test of time and 30 years from today still look the same and a Passport Gang Member will always pay you top US Dollar to move into it so my advice the outdoor kitchen needs a bar and a pool and a outdoor Chess Board and laugh 😂 all the way to the bank 🏧🏧🏧 my friend.

This sounds very much a Westernised rendition and not traditional Isaan

It's a great pity that ethnic instruments get corrupted in this way, this instrument is imbedded in Thai Isaan culture and I'm sorry to have to say please respect this Sir.
I did the same! From Marrakech to Porto(4 days) then to Lisbon by train for 3 days. Was the best trip in my life so far

Last Year I was in Ubon Ratachani ans I was in tue Restaurant at mun river too. I was on the lake too I think they call it Pattaya noi. Last place I was in a disco called tawangdan where They played morlan music
Did you go down south to avoid the smoke in Feb and March?
No we weighed out the decision between staying put and travelling pollution was pretty bad down south for a lot of the year we just decided to stay put and invest the money in air conditioning and air filters 😂 We’re pretty much just homebodies these days. For some reason travelling has lost its spark for us

Unfortunately I blew my knee out a few weeks back and haven’t been able to walk I’m not even able to go around the village we’re waiting for this holiday to be over so I can go see a specialist

Did you get it inspected for termites and other bug problems
Not my house built by a Thai person in our village Houses now are built here with almost 100% concrete and steel so no worry about termites. The problem here is the designs (all the ledges they put on these new houses) lend themselves to birds roosting and nesting and shitting all over the house
your turn buckles have to be way more angled, nothing is holding this camper if it slides forward.

I didn’t build this house I don’t even know the builders so I can’t help you check out a channel called ‘living in 2 worlds’ guys name is Russell he just built a house out your way. He went through the whole process on his channel

That's not just a monk, that's Ajahn Chah the most revered monk in all of Isaan , widely considered to be an 'Arhat', a fully enlightened being. He was the first monk in Thailand to start a monastery for foreigners, Wat Pa Nanachat

Why a crawlspace and not a basement? Why are the wall in block instead of stud? No insulation from heat to help the air conditionner. Good informative video. Thx
I’ve never seen a basement here. This is likely due to the flooding Thai style ..done as cheaply as possible I know many foreigners who build and insulate ..you can also get higher quality thicker blocks that help save energy
